mechanisms at play in our brain that make us fall back into our old routines and thinking patterns. You're already overweight so how is going for a run going to help? You haven’t been for a run
in years and it's raining now, so running can wait until the morning. You don’t have that customer yet and he doesn’t know you, so why would he suddenly want to do business with you?
If things don't immediately work out that little voice in your head will reinforce your behavior and whisper, 'see, it was never going to work'. Turn it around. Make the desired outcome your
starting point. Act as if you've already accomplished what you've set out to do.
